They look to be in WAY to good of condition to be zombies. Except for the picture shown here. And besides..... In the 3.5 edition Monster Manual, you can apply a vampire template to any humanoid creature. It doesnt say anywhere in it about light sensitivity. So, maybe they are D&D 3.5 Vampires ?
